Harumi Kurihara comes to Taisho University!

Last week, it was our great pleasure to host Kurihara Harumi! She did a wonderful workshop with the Taisho Engish Communication students. The students were so excited to have Ms. Kurihara at our school.
Her theme was "Cooking with English". She gave us lots of advice on learning English, and told us a little about her journeys abroad. Her story was very inspirational to the students.
She taught us how to make Chiffon Cake. The aroma of the cake cooking in the oven filled the room. We couldn't wait to try it! The cake was absolutely delicious. It's just what you'd expect from a master cook like Ms. Kurihara.
Next, she showed us how to make Quick Pickled Cucumbers. She told us it was easy to make and is popular with her friends abroad.
Of course, she spoke English when she was preparing her dishes. The students learned a lot of new words and phrases that will help them in their understanding of the English lanuage.
