光とことばのFESTIVAL!!

皆さん、こんにちは。
9月も終わりに近づき、涼しくなってきましたね。皆さんの夏休みはいかがでしたか。

表現学部では今年もまだ暑い8月末から、1年生全員が力を合わせ、９体の「ねぷた」とイチョウ並木を飾る「ことばのロード」を作成しました。途中、台風の通過を心配するときもありましたが、昨年の経験者の２年生が各班の指導に当たってくれたり、全員のチームワークもあり、見事な作品が仕上がりました。９月１０日のイベントも佐藤壮広先生とLeviのオリジナル曲でオープニングから盛り上がり、大勢の来場者を迎え、感動の時間を過ごしました。今年は東日本大震災復興の願いもこめた「光とことばのフェスティバル」でした。私たちの作った「ねぷた」を通して、東北の地にその思いが届いたでしょうか。来年は皆さんと一緒にさらに大正大学らしい「光とことばのフェスティバル」を迎えたいと思います。表現学部一同、心よりお待ちしてます。

Hi Everyone,

We had a great time making neputa with the freshmen.  They worked well together and made some fantastic sculptures.  They also made lots of new friends.  I hope you all enjoyed this year's festival.  For those of you who are joining us next year, we are looking forward to seeing your neputa!

As you can see, these wonder works of art shined into the night sky and created a magical world on campus.  Although some of the teams won special awards, everyone's neputa illuminated the smiling faces of those who came.  I wish it could last all month!
